What a lovely man - always caring, friendly and charming. My thoughts are with all of you who were close to him. He was so lovely to younger poets - I met John at the Poetry Business and his smile and laughter made us all feel so happy. He was generous enough to feature my work on his 'Cobweb' website. I told him how kind he was and how much I admire his writing before he passed away - I hope he knew how much I appreciated his friendship.
